Seriously, Von, where are you! I know that you don't get to post anywhere often, but it really doesn't take that much to sign up for a blogger account... just so you can comment here! Not so you can abandon your opendiary- Not so you can start a blog of your own- just so you can comment here! *cries* We miss you!

Oh, well. I already know the outcome of this. But, as always, it's worth asking, just because we love her, right folks?

I don't think I needed a new battery. It's gotta be the phone. I charged it for 24 hours like I was supposed to, but it's acting just like the old battery before it really started getting bad. Mira thinks the connectors between the phone and the battery are skewed. It feels very loose, and the phone doesn't stay on longer than ten to twenty seconds. I had it on long enough to erase any information I had on it, i.e. my phonebook, any messages I had sent and received, any calls I had received, etc.
So, I guess I'm going to have to see if I can get a new phone and still keep my plan. Life sucks!

New battery... finally!

I went out and bought a new battery for my cell phone today. I had been contemplating just getting a new phone, seeing as how my model has been discontinued, but I figured I'd forget all the hassle, and went to the Batteries Plus over in Yorkshire Plaza instead. I have to let it charge for 24 hours, so I can't use it until later tomorrow evening. Oh well, at least I can finally use my phone again.
Speaking of which, for those of you who don't know, Lar and JR have a cell phone now. If you need the number, I'll e-mail you and let you know.

Doing the things that a good mod should-

I got rid of the blue rectangles- and I need to figure out what to do with the rectangles on my website. Hey, Athene... do you think John could throw me some free bandwith from somewhere? Anywhere? The lack of images is getting beyond annoying and *sniff* and *sniff* I miss my photos! Furthermore, the post with all the phantom smilies just isn't the same without.

So, I did have to re-edit a few of T's posts, hope you don't mind, girlie... you can always change it as you see fit, if I butchered it beyond your liking.

I was listening to "How Come" on Musicmatch radio (the edited version, ok?), and the thought struck me. This is kinda what it was like when we lost a good friend of ours when she decided to choose her boyfriend over our group. She didn't come around a lot before she decided to leave, and the next thing we know, she's decided to break off all contact.
After a while, I heard from her again, and she said that she wanted to keep in touch with me because I've known her for so long and I'm like a sister to her. We gab every once in a while, I keep her updated with us and she updates me on how her life is going. Hopefull, she'll eventually realize how much she misses us and wants to come back into our group.
Until then, I'm the mediator. I'm the official go-betweener for the Goddesses and Mel. She'll need a shoulder to cry on and forgiving hearts when she decides to end her relationship with her significant other and rejoin us. I don't know about everybody else, but I prefer to keep the peace.

Real conversation

As most of my Fellow Goddesses know, my nic on yahoo is AtheneBelle, which means that I typically have this sort of question; "What does your name mean?" Well all of the Goddesses understand that my name means "Beautiful Athene." Athene of course being an archaic way of spelling Athena. Well my conversation with one random person take the cake.

Alchemist##nl: I'm ___ 34 married from Europe....you?
AtheneBelle: 22 Engaged and in US
Alchemist##nl: but you should have so many man wanting you...your divine
AtheneBelle: Perhaps I may have my pick of "priests" but I only need one Head.
Alchemist##nl: I sure long to be one of your followers
AtheneBelle: Perhaps.
Alchemist##nl: you have more pics?
AtheneBelle: NO.

At that point of that last "perhaps" I should have said "but you must worship me from afar as I am a virgin goddess and will have Zeus throw bolts at you if you even try to come near". Then again, that might have only encouraged him.
